The Rocca family sold grapes and bulk wine here from the 1940s before Albino began bottling under his own name; his son Angelo built the modern estate, and since Angelo's death in 2012 it has been run by his three daughters, with Paola making the wine. The parcels for this wine face east on marl with a prevalence of limestone and veins of sand, from vines planted between 1968 and 2012, and the first vintage was made in 2007. Ageing is deliberately short by the standards of the house, about eight months in oak casks and four more in bottle, which keeps the variety's scent and grip while leaving the tannin supple.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eReady on release and good for five years or so.
