Algueira, founded by Fernando González at Doade, was among the estates that revived commercial winemaking in the region. This bottling comes from the estate's younger Mencía vines on those slopes. Where the premium cuvées are fermented with whole bunches and aged in oak, the fruit here is destemmed and raised entirely in stainless steel, fermented with indigenous yeasts and macerated for fifteen to twenty days before an early release.
