The vineyard lies on the alluvial terraces of the Maipo River at the foot of the Andes, where stony, free-draining soils and cool mountain air at night keep the fruit fresh through a long ripening season. Cabernet Sauvignon leads, with Carmenère, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot adding spice, perfume and depth, and the wine is matured in French oak. The name comes from Count Almaviva of Beaumarchais' The Marriage of Figaro, and the label carries a design drawn from the Mapuche kultrún drum. The 2016 is a graceful, silky vintage with a round, fresh mouthfeel and subtle tannins.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eServe at around 16 to 18 degrees, ideally after an hour or so in a decanter.
