Charles Lachaux's three parcels total 0.57 hectares. Since taking over the family domaine he has rebuilt the viticulture around tall, untrimmed canopies, horse ploughing in the older plots, denser planting and very low yields, all aimed at ripeness of flavour without excess sugar. This wine is fermented with one hundred per cent whole bunches and sees no new oak, which keeps it lifted and high-toned. The fruit profile here runs darker than in the domaine's other cuvées, but the floral quality common to the range is present.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDrinking well from three years and good for a decade.
