The fruit for this wine comes from a single south-west-facing vineyard at Vinci, near Empoli, west of Florence. Winemaking takes two paths: one parcel ferments as whole bunches, fully carbonic, and is raised in concrete vats for six months, while a second is de-stemmed and matured in concrete for eight months. Blending the two keeps Chianti's sour-cherry tang and fine acidity while adding lift and a lighter, more open texture. There is no oak, and the concrete raising keeps the wine fresh and unmarked.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDrink now and over the next three years.
