Domaine Bachelet-Monnot, run by brothers Marc and Alexandre Bachelet from a base in Maranges, has become one of the more reliable addresses for white Burgundy at this level. The cuvée is assembled from La Canière, Le Chêne, Les Benoîtes, Pot Bois, En Journoblot and Les Houillères. Most sit below the premier cru band, but Pot Bois is one of Chassagne's highest vineyards, lying above Paul Pillot's Clos Saint-Jean, while Les Houillères sits beneath Bâtard-Montrachet. The average age of the vines is around thirty years.
