Germany as a whole is now one of the largest growers of Pinot Noir anywhere, behind only France and the United States by planted area. Von Unserm is the more approachable of the Balthasar Ress ranges, drawn from across the family's Rheingau holdings and fermented out fully dry, as Trocken on a German label always indicates.
