Originally planted in 2007 and grafted from Shiraz to Bernard clone 76 in 2019, it runs 1.2-metre rows with a metre between vines, north-south. The fruit was whole-bunch pressed, settled overnight, then wild-fermented in French hogsheads with about a quarter new; malolactic went through the entire blend naturally, and ten unstirred months on lees followed. Of the three single-vineyard 2024 Chardonnays from the estate, this is the most textural of them.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCool and focused on the nose — ripe pear, yellow apple skin, a touch of salted caramel — then a chewy palate held together by saline freshness. Serve at 12 to 13 degrees.
