Grigsby and Matt Holmes brought that Dijon material in to broaden a clonal mix that started out almost entirely Penfolds. Close planting is the other lever, since high vine density concentrates the fruit and builds texture without adding bulk. The site was previously known as De la Roche, of the rock, and the wine keeps that compact, stony structure: expansive but never loose, with grip, power and a saline lift. The most complete version of this block to date.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBroad and rich, with ripe stone fruit, fennel, white chocolate and creamy oak, then nougat and spiced yoghurt across a palate that stays gripped and saline.
