They are the oldest Chardonnay plantings in the Olive Tree Hill vineyard, and the label carries the initials of the estate’s founder, Stuart Reginald Hooper. 2011 was a cool season, and as a rule the cooler the year the more mineral this wine turns out. More than a decade on it has made good on an early reputation, gaining complexity while holding the fine line that defines it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIntense and finely built, with citrus pith and rind, ground spice, leesy complexity and a saline freshness running the full length of the palate. It keeps opening with air.
