Petit Maupertuis sits in the best part of it, and the growers who farm there, among them Domaine François Lamarche and members of the Gros family, consistently draw more finesse from the site than the appellation's general reputation suggests. Leroux works a 0.15-hectare parcel of 60-year-old vines right against the wall of the clos.
