That small area is split between many owners, so the wine is rarely encountered. Leroux has bottled his tiny holding for a number of years; the vines sit squarely inside the original clos and have always been farmed organically. The style here leans towards perfume and lift rather than weight, which suits Leroux's hand: the fruit was mostly destemmed and the wine raised in one-third new oak, a restrained regime for a Grand Cru.
