Les Vireuils faces east on pure, rocky limestone soils with some flint, and ripens late. Leroux's holding of 0.77 hectares is spread across three parcels in Vireuils Dessus, one of the higher parts of the village sitting above the well-known Les Chevalières and Rougeots lieux-dits, with vines around 45 years old. He worked with the same parcels while at Domaine du Comte Armand and has continued with them under his own label since 2007.
