Boudots is often described as the most Vosne-like of the Nuits premiers crus, though Leroux is not convinced: his Vosne-Romanée Aux Malconsorts parcel is a short walk away, and he says the two behave quite differently in the cellar, regarding Boudots as showing the true character of Nuits-Saint-Georges. Lalou Bize-Leroy, who farms more than a hectare in the vineyard, has said much the same.
