Leroux takes the bulk of this cuvée from Aux Herbues on the Vosne border, adds a parcel in Saints-Jacques next door, and completes it with Les Tuyaux, a stony terroir at the far northern edge of the appellation. The 2023 was entirely destemmed. Élevage is in cask with a measured proportion of new oak. The result carries the earthy, faintly ferrous tannin that marks the village, but with more finesse than Nuits is usually credited with, and the producer rates it the best he has made here.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eApproachable from three years and good for a decade, it suits roast duck, mushroom dishes and aged beef.
