Benjamin Leroux farms 0.65 hectares here, close to the premier cru Clos de la Barre and running into the neighbouring Mitans l'Ormeau lieu-dit. The soil is a fine clay shot through with limestone, a combination that holds moisture well through dry summers, and the vines average 50 years of age.
