The winery has made this wine from those old vines for many years, and it is one of South Africa's benchmark whites. Subtle oak adds complexity without dominating. The wine is pale and gentle, with melon, acacia, kumquat and ginger spice, and a medium-bodied, textured palate with poached pear, quince and lemon, finishing saline and slightly spicy.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTake it out of the fridge a little before serving so the texture can show. It pairs well with crayfish, roast chicken, pork with apple or a creamy seafood pasta.
