Forty per cent whole bunches went into the ferment, and the wine spent ten months in older French puncheons. This will not be repeated: the fruit is no longer available to Andre Bondar, which makes the bottling a genuine one-off. Bush-vine Grenache of this age is rare anywhere in Australia, and McLaren Vale holds more of it than almost any other region on earth.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFloral and herbal aromas circle ripe red fruit, with liquorice and a savoury undercurrent beneath. Brooding, plush and firmly framed.
