This release layers in lush spice from an Eden Valley clone Andre sought out for its Rhône-like aromatics. Vines up to 75 years old sit on deep sand with ironstone over limestone, and blocks of differing aspect each get their own treatment — some fermented as whole berries, others given longer on skins — before ten months in mature oak and a January blend.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRed fruit and char spice, with a light-footed elegance that is the point of the wine. Serve at 16 degrees, no decanting needed.
