The WKR wines come from the label's own estate vineyard rather than purchased fruit. Pinot Noir is Tasmania's signature red grape, and the island's cool maritime climate and slow ripening give it fine tannin and bright acidity. Around 20% of the fruit is fermented as whole bunches, with stems included, which adds structure, lift and a savoury edge, while the rest is destemmed.
