Where those two villages are celebrated for Pinot Noir, Bisseuil is the one commune in the area planted to more Chardonnay than Pinot, which is what drew Francis and Annick Egly to buy here in anticipation of their children Clémence and Charles joining the estate. The family works 1.5 hectares across two lieux-dits on the south-facing slope, with vines averaging forty years. The blend is 70 per cent Chardonnay with 15 per cent each of Pinot Noir and Meunier. Debuting with the 2022 release, this is the third bottling and the second drawn from three vintages.
