Vrigny, on the northwestern side of the Montagne, is a different proposition: a premier cru planted largely to Meunier, and the source of this single-village bottling. The house style applies here as elsewhere, built on very low yields, late picking for full ripeness, fermentation and ageing in oak, and extended time on lees before disgorgement, which is far longer than the appellation minimum. Dosage is restrained.
