Egly-Ouriet holds 3.5 hectares there, spanning seven historic lieux-dits, which came to the family through Annick Egly. The fruit was previously sold; the return of Charles and Clémence Egly to the domaine made it possible to bottle it under the family name. Plantings mirror the blend, an even split of the three Champagne varieties, on vines averaging 40 years rooted in clay and sandstone over chalk bedrock, the soil typical of the area. The usual Egly practice applies — low yields, hand harvesting of fully ripe fruit, no inoculation, long lees ageing, no fining or filtration and minimal dosage — with the difference that this cuvée is fermented and aged entirely in tank. It draws on three harvests and was disgorged at 1 g\/L.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eReady now and capable of five to eight years.
