Complantée takes its name from the old practice of co-planting several varieties in the one parcel: here Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay and the heirloom Champagne varieties Arbane, Petit Meslier and Pinot Blanc grow side by side in La Fosse à Bull, part of the Fosse vineyard that also gives the Vénus cuvée. Chardonnay accounts for a quarter of the blend, with the remainder split evenly between the other five. The current release is based on the 2021 harvest with 20% reserve wine from 2020.
