It was the first site in Champagne to be bottled as a single vineyard, and its combination of very chalky soil, southerly aspect and an average growing-season temperature about 1.5°C above the regional norm gives one of the most powerful wines in the region, yet one that holds its acidity through warm years. The Juste Rosé was added in 1999. It follows a similar blend to the Clos des Goisses blanc with the addition of saignée Pinot Noir from lieux-dits within the clos, including La Dure, Le Collet, Les 28 Verges, Les Petits Cintres and Les Jolivets Noirs.
