Vines are planted on well-drained gravel over clay on slopes facing the Gironde, a setting that suits Cabernet Sauvignon and softens the extremes of frost and heat. Merlot adds flesh to the blend and Petit Verdot a touch of spice and colour. After fermentation the wine spends time in French barrels before bottling. In 2019, a warm and sunny Bordeaux year, it gives dark fruit and spice, a suave entry and fine tannins, finishing with real sapidity.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePour at 16 to 18 degrees with rib-eye, beef and mushroom pie or a platter of hard cheese.
