The soils are much the same mix of galets roulés and clay, and the vineyard is farmed to the same organic and biodynamic standards as the home property. The Perrin family have held Beaucastel since the early twentieth century. The red blends Grenache, Mourvedre, Syrah and Cinsault, with each variety fermented separately before assembly, and it is aged in large old oak foudres rather than new barrels.
