Château de la Chaize is one of the region's landmarks, a seventeenth century property at the foot of Mont Brouilly built for François de la Chaize d'Aix and attributed to the architect Jules Hardouin-Mansart, with gardens laid out in the manner of André Le Nôtre. Since 2017 the estate has been in the hands of the Gruy family, who have moved the vineyard to organic farming and begun isolating individual plots.
