The Edmond de Rothschild family has owned it since the early 2000s and put serious money into vineyard and cellar. Merlot dominates, suited to the cool clay, with Cabernet Franc adding lift. Parcels are picked and vinified separately, then matured in a mix of barrels and vats so the oak stays in check.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eExpect dark plums, a supple medium body and a savoury grip on the finish. Big bottles age more slowly, so there's no rush to open it.
