The estate's vineyard sits on a low gravel rise and is planted to Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with smaller amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, and it has belonged since 1998 to the family of the American banker Robert G. Wilmers, who rebuilt the cellars and kept the long-serving winemaking team in place.
