Haut-Batailley came into being when the Batailley estate was divided in the 1940s; the Borie family, owners of Ducru-Beaucaillou, managed it for many years before the Cazes family of Lynch-Bages bought the property in 2017 and set about renewing the vineyard and building a new cellar.
