Château Laballe stands at Parleboscq, between the Landes forest and the Gers river, in the Bas Armagnac terroir. Jean-Dominique Laudet bought the property in 1820 after a career in the spice trade; Cyril Laudet and his wife Julie are the eighth generation to run it. The spirit is distilled in the estate's 1923 wood-fired copper still and aged in Chêne Noir Gascon, 410-litre barrels of local oak whose thick grain adds tannin and spice. It is bottled brut de fût, with no added colour, unfiltered and at its natural strength. This release is entirely Baco.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eServe at room temperature in a tulip glass and give it time to open.
