The Tesseron family, also long-time owners of Pontet-Canet, bought the estate in 1960 and rebuilt the château and vineyard over the following decades, and the building's distinctive yellow walls are now a local landmark. Les Pèlerins draws on younger vines and parcels that suit an earlier-drinking style, blended from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and a little Petit Verdot. The 2020 is medium-bodied, with blackcurrant, plum and liquorice, a savoury graphite edge and fine-grained tannins.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eServe at 16 to 18 degrees without much fuss.
