Lafon-Rochet occupies a gravel rise on the Pauillac boundary, between Cos d'Estournel and the vines of Lafite, and its château is easily picked out for its bright yellow rendering. The commune holds only five classified growths, fewer than Pauillac or Margaux, and much of its vineyard belongs to Crus Bourgeois.
