The two have been farmed together ever since, and Léoville Barton is one of the rare classified growths with no château building of its own; its wine is made and aged in the cellars at Langoa. Saint-Julien occupies deep gravel croupes between Pauillac and Margaux and is regarded as the most even in quality of the Médoc communes.
