The Abeille and Fabre families have run the property since 1923 and also farm in Lirac and the wider Côtes du Rhône. The red draws on most of the varieties the appellation permits, with Grenache well in front and Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cinsault filling out the frame. Fruit is picked by hand and vinified parcel by parcel, and there is no new barrique in the cellar: élevage passes in concrete vat and large old oak foudre, which is why bottles from the estate age towards savoury depth and dried herb rather than wood.
