The Abeille-Fabre family has run it since 1923. White Châteauneuf is a small part of the appellation's production and Mont-Redon is among the properties that have kept it central. The blend is 50 per cent Grenache Blanc, 30 per cent Clairette and 20 per cent Picpoul and other permitted varieties, drawn from parcels chosen for their ability to hold acidity on a site that bakes in summer.
