The Abeille-Fabre family has run it since 1923. White Châteauneuf accounts for only a small share of the appellation's output, and Mont-Redon is one of the properties that has kept a serious white in production throughout. The blend runs to 50 per cent Grenache Blanc, 30 per cent Clairette and 20 per cent Picpoul and the other permitted white varieties, picked from parcels chosen to hold freshness on a site that bakes in summer.
