Poujeaux occupies a prime spot on this gravel near the hamlet of Grand Poujeaux. Since 2008 the estate has belonged to Philippe Cuvelier and his family, owners of Saint-Émilion's Clos Fourtet, whose investment has lifted quality further. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot form the core, with Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc in support, and the wine is raised in oak. A warm, dry summer in 2018 gave concentrated, ripe fruit right across the Médoc.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is a wine for the dinner table.
