The Chateau Mazeris from Canon Fronsac offers all the power of a Pomerol but perhaps with a touch more rusticity and savouriness. It is a lovely medium to full - bodied Bordeaux that displays rich plummy fruit and will probably be deceptively long lived. Dark berries, cedar, tarry spice in a medium bodied frame showing plush mouth filling flavours hemmed in by impressive slightly rustic tannins.
