The domaine works about twelve hectares on the premier cote directly above Vouvray, on clay and flint over tuffeau limestone, and has belonged to the Foreau family since the 1920s. Grapes are whole-bunch pressed, fermented on indigenous yeasts and raised in old oak casks, with no chaptalisation and no new barrels; the ferment is allowed to stop of its own accord, in this case with around 130 grams per litre of residual sugar remaining.
