The block is a tiny sliver at the top of the vineyard's east slope, clay-rich and planted at 4,000 vines per hectare to the 777 clone, on a certified organic Dog Point site managed by Nigel Sowman.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis block usually sits at the red-fruited, radiant end of the range, though the evolving phenolics Mike Paterson has noticed show plainly here — more grip, more savoury depth, cherry and plum over a firmer frame.
