Cullen was planted in 1971 by Kevin and Diana Madeline Cullen, among the region's founding families, and has been led since 1989 by their daughter Vanya, who took the vineyard to certified organic and then biodynamic status and later to carbon neutrality. The wine is named for her mother. Cabernet Sauvignon leads, with Merlot and small portions of Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot, fermented in open vessels and matured in French oak.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eDecant an hour ahead and serve at 17 degrees with roast lamb or aged beef.
