Here McLaren Vale Shiraz makes up the bulk of the blend, with just 6% Riesling bringing freshness and perfume, much as Viognier does in the northern Rhône. The 2024 offers plum, blackberry, raspberry and sarsaparilla, with herbal hints of thyme and bay. It is round and chewy, while a gentle acidity keeps it restrained and bright.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOpen it alongside slow-roasted pork shoulder, a meaty pizza or grilled mushrooms, serving at around 16 to 18 degrees.
