Reds made there are labelled Blagny, while the whites take the name of Meursault or Puligny depending on which commune the vineyard falls in. Antoine Jobard's parcel covers half a hectare in La Pièce Sous le Bois, at the very top of the slope on stony ground at 300 to 350 metres, just below the tree line. It is a cool place, especially at night, though it catches plenty of sun during the day, and it is often the first white vineyard the domaine picks. The half-hectare is split between very old vines planted in 1957 and a section replanted in 2009. The wine is raised in the domaine's restrained style, with long lees ageing and little new oak, and the elevation shows in its linear, citrus-toned shape.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eApproachable at three years and capable of fifteen.
