Jobard farms 1.3 hectares across three parcels, one of them in the heart of the vineyard, with vines around forty years old whose roots run straight into the mother rock. The limestone here is abundant enough that the site once held a quarry, and the stone from it built many of the houses nearby. The Jobard style is well established in Meursault — long lees ageing, restrained new oak, late bottling and a deliberately taut, mineral reading of the village rather than a rich one.
