This cuvée comes from the estate’s younger vines in a two-hectare parcel, and it takes its name, the cradle of the fairies, from the copse of trees that surrounds it. The wine is fermented wild in stainless steel and aged for six months, which is less than the appellation rules require, so it is labelled Vin de France rather than Savennières. Tessa Laroche’s precise, low-sulphur winemaking and the schist soils give a spritely, dry Chenin with cool orchard fruit and salted-lemon flesh, mouthwatering acidity and the smoky mineral character of the terroir.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMade for early drinking rather than the cellar; enjoy over the next two or three years.
