The soils are much the same as the cru alongside them, sand and red clay strewn with rolled pebbles, and the vines are old, low trained bush Grenache with Syrah, Carignan and Mourvèdre alongside. Laurent Charvin works the property organically and keeps the cellar work minimal: whole berries, indigenous yeasts, a long gentle maceration and élevage in concrete and old wooden foudres, with no new barrique anywhere in the range.
