Whites make up a small proportion of the plantings and come mainly from the upper, stonier parcels where limestone and scree replace the deeper clay that suits Pinot Noir. Chardonnay grown here keeps a firm, chalky structure and rarely runs to fat. Domaine Collotte is a family estate based in the village with holdings across its lieux-dits.
