Frédéric Lafarge farms vines on the same hill. The forty-year-old vines here are rooted in pink granitic sand mixed through with limestone and clay, a soil known locally as gore. Domaine de Fa, the Beaujolais project of the Graillot family, is taking advantage of the new Beaujolais rules that permit higher planting densities, and has set up a new trellis so the team can run a taller canopy.
